Steward Health Care is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our affiliate at Hawthorn Medical Associates. This is an outstanding opportunity for a BC/BE physician to a growing multi-specialty group. Established practice with referring physicians and patients awaiting your arrival.
The Interventional Cardiologist should have some structural training, particularly in TAVRs. This program currently does TAVR, Mitra-clip, watchman, PFO closure etc., so there is the possibility of doing these other procedures if the candidate is trained and interested. Additionally, if the candidate wants and has training they can read echos and Nuclear both inpatient and outpatient, as well as cardiac CT (however this is not required).
The Interventional Cardiologist will do some general cardiology practice in office and the hospital and do general cardiology call currently 1 in 8 nights and weekends. General cardiology call is very light as inpatients are all covered by hospitalists. Interventional cardiology call is currently 1 in 7. Most interventional call can be coordinated to be the same nights as general cardiology call.
The candidate needs to be planning on taking or having passed the ABIM interventional boards.
Our main campus is located in the coastal town of Dartmouth, MA; within six miles of a state-of-the-art hospital and with access to all amenities. It is an excellent area to raise a family; less than an hour south of Boston, MA and a half an hour east of Providence, RI.
