General Surgeon / Surgical Oncologist Needed in Salt Lake City, UT

Jordan Valley Medical Center located in the rapidly growing suburb of Salt Lake City is seeking a surgeon interested in both general surgery and surgical oncology. The surgeon will be joining a hospital employed group. The current group has three surgeons responsible for trauma, bariatrics, anti-reflux, and general surgery. They are looking for a fourth partner to help build a surgical oncology practice and also help build the existing breast care program. The new surgeon would expect to perform surgical oncology, breast, and general surgery. Practice radius will cover a two campus community. Jordan Valley Medical Center and Jordan Valley West are both level three trauma centers that provide several tertiary level services.

Jordan Valley Medical Center has a new, state of the art, cancer center with two full time medical oncologists and a radiation oncologist. The cancer center has a new radiation suite built to service the West side of the valley. The new surgeon along with the current medical oncologists would assist in building a new surgical oncology program that includes skin and soft tissue, colorectal, thyroid, and parathyroid. The new surgeon would also help grow the existing breast care program. One week of trauma / acute care surgery call would be expected per month with back up as needed. The three general surgeons are academically trained and able to cover a surgical oncology practice.
