Steward Medical group is seeking a dynamic, innovative MFM specialist to lead the MFM division into the next phase of its maternal-fetal medicine strategy. The tertiary center for MFM at SMG is based at St Elizabeth’s medical center in Boston and currently supports the ob services of the Steward Healthcare hospitals in Massachusetts. These hospitals generate approximately 4,000 deliveries per year with a 50% high risk rate. There are currently four MFM specialists in the division.
The new chief will work closely with the Chair of Ob/Gyn at St. Elizabeth’s and the ob/gyn system leader to coordinate the MFM services in Massachusetts and develop telemedicine consultative MFM outreach for the nation-wide system of Steward Hospitals without current access to these services. Faculty appointment is available at Tuft’s University School of Medicine and Boston University School of Medicine, commensurate with academic achievement and demonstrated teaching commitment.
