St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center is seeking a distinguished Radiologist to serve as Chair of its Department of Radiology. The incumbent will be expected to enhance an already growing department, as well as strengthen relationships within the system, which includes eight other hospitals in Eastern Massachusetts, and with other referral sources. Faculty appointment at Tufts Medical School is available depending upon qualifications.
SEMC has state-of-the-art imaging services, including flat-panel angiography, 256-slice CT technology with cardiac capability, two 1.5 MRI units, 3D ultrasound, and digital radiography. In breast imaging, the department is fully digital, provides MR-guided biopsy, percutaneous excision of breast lesions, and CAD-equipped mammography. The department is filmless with a new digital reading room and enterprise PACS.
SEMC is a community-based 267-bed tertiary care hospital and part of Steward Health Care the second largest health network in Eastern Massachusetts. SEMC is located in an attractive neighborhood of Boston that is close to the suburbs with outstanding public school systems, as well as many social and cultural amenities.
Demonstrated expertise in MSK, Neuro, or Body Imaging preferable but not required. The successful candidate will have achievements in clinical care and have demonstrated management and leadership skills as well as a vision for advancing the department’s clinical standing.
